The Martyrdom of Ayatollah Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi and His Companions

“Among the believers are men who were true to what they pledged to Allah; among them are those who have fulfilled their vow, and among them are those who still wait, and they have not changed in the least.”

🖋 Al al-Bayt (AS) International University, in the holy city of Qom, with profound sorrow and submission to the divine will, extends its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Islamic Ummah—especially to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Guardian of the Affairs of Muslims worldwide, His Eminence Ayatollah al-Uzma Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may his noble shadow endure)—on the tragic and painful martyrdom of the devoted servant of the celestial shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the loyal soldier of Wilayah and servant of the nation and the Ummah, Ayatollah Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi (may Allah have mercy upon him), and his faithful companions (may Allah’s mercy be upon them all).
This heart-rending calamity—O believers—carries within it a great and profound message; a message that transcends ethnicity and borders, addressed to all free people of the world, to every aware heart and listening ear, to every seeing eye and person of insight.
It is an incident that is not merely the fall of an aircraft, but a wake-up call for dormant hearts and minds trapped in heedlessness, and a warning to those who walk the path of falsehood while imagining themselves to be on the path of truth.
This tragedy speaks of steadfast and faithful men who feared no reproach in the path of Allah—men who never hesitated in obedience to their Lord, His Messenger, and the divine guardians; servants whose faith Allah increased with mercy, knowledge, and guidance.
They attained the lofty rank of martyrdom in the path of truth and service to the servants of Allah—men in whose conduct and character shone the authentic values of Islam, the spirit of religion, and the path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon them on the day they were born, the day they were martyred, and the day they shall be raised again.
Blessed are those who attained nearness to Allah and the station of martyrdom, and blessed are those who follow in their footsteps and remain steadfast upon their path.
We ask Almighty Allah to gather us and you among this faithful group,
with the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—and excellent are they as companions—
among those whose hearts are imbued with love for Muhammad and the pure and noble family of Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace be upon those who follow guidance and are inspired with obedience and piety.
